Comments

Alex Ross is the man, but I suppose it helps that he's comfortable swimming in the mainstream, hence, the people who would have voted him the best would be those who are down with the mainstream, being the majority. Your Bisleys and Fabrys were too busy on their Heavy Metals and their Preachers! Your Davises and Murrays and Hairsines were swimming in the pond across the ocean, where they didn't get the attention they maybe deserved. And your great Arthur Ransons were painting between the lines! (Although there were the Mazeworld covers, and the Batman/Phantom Stranger one too).

Hullo Bheki,
as you suggest he is not the only one though Alex Ross does have a jaw dropping talent. And art isn't like the strongest man contest where there is only one winner. All kinds and qualities of work can do their thing for you.
Best,
Arthur
