Button Man director

I understand that DreamWorks have signed Nicholas Refn ( Drive, Bronson, the Pusher Trilogy, Only God Forgives, Valhalla Rising. ) as director for a Button Man film. They are now looking for a new writer for the Button Man screenplay. Their option with John Wagner and I has been renewed for another twelve months.
Ungrateful wretch that I am I was hoping the making of the film would be confirmed at this time and make me rich and famous before Christmas but this is good news and I guess improves the possibility that DreamWorks will make the movie.

June 1st. According to film gossip website Deadline I may have been a little previous in saying Refn had signed. According to them it is just at the talks stage. What do I know?

June 5th. The Tom Hardy as Harry Exton pic is at the request of a number of my female friends.

Great news Arthur, brings it all a good few steps closer!

Hullo Andy,

Well, it's something. And might be a positive indicator on the casting front as well; he worked with Tom Hardy on Bronson, and some people in the past have thrown his name out as being good for this role. And the more I see of his work, the more I've started to believe it too.

And he satisfies your requirements too, Mr Ranson, being a Brit, and is also young enough that should all the BM volumes make it to the screen, he could be in all of them.

I don't know if you've seen the recent film adaptation Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy, where he has the Harry Exton hair, and his face is obscured in shadow for a significant amount of time when his character is first revealed.

Hullo Bheki,
looked at some Tom Hardy pics and yes, he might do. He does do good muscle.
All speculation, but quite good fun.
Best,
Arthur
