Carmine Infantinio (May 24  1925 - April 4 2013 ) was an artist whose work encompassed both the Golden Age And Silver Age of comics. He is mainly noted for his regular work on Golden Age Flash, Green Lantern and Justice Society.

Infantino began a long and distinguished career in 1947 with a Johnny Thunder story in which he created Black Canary for Flash Comics. Possibly his best remembered work is the renewed and revitalised The Flash for DC in the years from 1956 to 1967. The resultant boost given to superhero comics is regarded as the start of Silver Age comics. In addition to Adam Strange and Deadman in Strange Adventures he was part of the Batman revival with writer John Broom. Becoming the company's editorial director he edited titles Bomba, Captain Marvel,The Shadow, Green Lantern/Green Arrow and Tarzan, hiring talent like Dick Giordano, Neal Adams and Jack Kirby.
