We interrupt the break to bring you news that Commando Comics are being featured in an exhibition at the National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea. London SW3 4HT.  http://www.nam.ac.uk/
First published by D.C.Thompson in 1961 as Commando War Stories their format is 7 ½ x 5 inch 68 page 135 frames per story , their theme largely tales  from World War I and 11. Commando Comics is still in print.

I never read War comics myself, put off the subject when I was a child by Hitler sending adults to bomb my street .
