No way to measure what effect the ‘Let’s get Maze World back in print’ campaign had on Rebellion’s decision but a coincidence seems unlikely. Thanks to all signing up to that. The boring bit is that it will not be appearing until the latter part of next year. Daniel Clifford, Alan Grant, myself, and other interested parties will have to contain themselves for what at will seem to me at least a long time.

we are all excited. It is going to be long wait though. I was told Rebellion would be in touch with you about the typeface you used on that lovely Maze World 'cover' you did on Daniel Clifford's 'back in print' facebook page. (new readers see Maze World Militancy blog) I had suggested they use your complete design as cover but it seems they have their own ideas.

don't know about kind, there was some self interest involved. I would have been happy if your design had been used. As for their 'talented designers' it is not for me to say.
Perhaps Rebellion tracked down the typeface on their own.

I had a good memories at Look-in, marred just a little by the thought of all that artwork that vanished into the woodwork.
yeah historically the treatment of British comics artists original art is nothing short of criminal - Frank Hampson paintings used to soak up puddles in warehouse or used trodden on as makeshift steps. Hundreds & hundreds of Joe Colquhoun and other fine artists pages dumped in skips. Absolutely horrific.
Where did the artwork for the two retrospective book come from do you know? Did they just scan old issues?
It is a crying shame over spilt milk I'm afraid.
I only had a brief phone call with one of the authors of Look-in 70s' and 80s' so really don't know though I did ask. I imagined they had contacts with folk who had worked at IPC at some time but that was just an assumption.
