The Lakes International Comic Art Festival.

Kendal, Cumbria.
This looks good. Seems to be a genuinely international event with creators from the US, UK , continental Europe and Japan. It implies a broader view of comic strip than can be the case with comic events.
Full guest list too long to give in full but includes at least one whose autograph I would ask for - Scott McCloud author of, among other things, the wonderful 'Understanding Comics'.
