Mazeworld Militancy

Daniel Clifford was taken with Mazeworld artwork on the site and wanted to read the story. I had to tell him it had not been reprinted and there were no plans to. Rather than go into a sulk and bemoan the failure of the publishing industry to cater for what he describes as his mainstream taste Daniel has set up a community page on Facebook called ‘Let’s get Mazeworld back in print’ . His intention is to attract enough supporters to convince comic publishers it would be worth their while to produce a collected Mazeworld edition so Daniel can get to read his comic. Here is a link http://www.facebook.com/pages//Lets-Get-Mazeworld-Back-In-Print/137539909608281
I am told Facebook links can be unreliable but that searching for Mazeworld in Facebook can lead you there.
I of course believe a collection of the entire Mazeworld in one fat edition would be a nice thing to have but the reason this petition thing excites me is the thought of a social network of  fans using their connection to create an outcome. Coincidently in Saturday’s Guardian Review section there was a review of Cognitive Surplus: Creativity and Generosity in a Connected Age by Clay Shirkey who’s suggestion is that the brainpower wasted with passive entertainment watching might be used via the internet to organise and do something in concert. Shirkey quotes examples of charities that have been set up. A Mazeworld reprint doesn’t have that significance but hey, we can be shallow too

I am totally in agreement that Mazeworld should be brought back - it is badly missed and a reprint is long overdue.

Thanks for that Les. The more the merrier. Swelling ranks and all that.

If Mazeworld was reprinted I would buy and read a copy!Especially if in colour.

Good to hear Rob, and of course it would be in colour. Can't say what the price might be but believe it would be worth every penny.
