Stumbling across http://www.bleedingcool.com/ recently I found these blogs about various comics exhibitions.
Comics Stripped - exhibition featuring sex in comics - Museum of Sex, 233, 5th Avenue New York
Drawing the Sword. Samuri in Manga and Anime. San Francisco Art Museum.
Moebius.Fondation Cartier Pour Art Contemporain. Paris
All from early in the year I guess it is too late to see any of them. While not exactly in the inner circle at the head office of comics knowledge ( Comics Intelligence Agency) I am left feeling both inadequate and let down that none of these exhibitions have had enough, if any, coverage in the UK to reach my information horizon. I share them here so if you missed them too we can share a sense of disappointment. By way of partial recompense there is the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition on at The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London WC25DN http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/
Having signed up for their weekly newsletter I am trusting BleedingCool will in future bring me back a little from the latitudes of ignorance.
Missed it! Who knew?
