That is one amazing tree Arthur, and language not forgiving it seems there is trouble ahead! Again the realistic sense of place is all adding to the crediblity of the saga.

the people are speaking Danish. Or at least an internet translation to it. The original settlers on this planet were from that part of the world.
Don't know what the language of the Cefaris is, or what they are saying.

Hullo Andy,
well you are welcome. I can't imagine it will help much though.
It was done partly for mischief and partly because of my ambiguous attitude towards words in comics and the convention that everybody speaks the same language.
Initially thought I would give translations where necessary but then decided it would make little difference whereas untranslated added to the oddity of it.
Ishmael acts as universal translator when he is around.

Hi Arthur,

That's a cool attitude to the medium, kind of reminds me of those East European films that found their way onto television in the 70s like "The Singing Ringing Tree" though of course they had a translation. I guess these sections of Sirius are the original soundtrack that was still audible underneath, it certainly creates a certain strangeness!f7QNGhd

Hullo Andy,
it is true I have been re-assessing my views on the comic medium - due in part by reading Jeanette Winterson's novel 'Sexing the Cherry' which left me with the idea that one did not have to follow established rules when telling a tale.
Don't know the films you refer to I'm afraid.
Ironically enough, as far as I know the website has not been visited by anybody from Denmark.
